Bluewave is Monkey Software’s preferred computer network provider throughout Australia and implements and supports optical industry endorsed computer networks for progressive Independent Optometrists.
Bluewave’s core service is the V-Server - The V-Server offers pay-by-the-month access to a fully maintained and unique Windows Server running Optomate and other associated financial and diagnostic practice software. Located in a secure data centre facility your V-Server will store all your practice computer files (eg. retinal images, referral letters, MYOB data and Office files), will run your lens ordering software (HOYA, Zeiss and Essilor), link your Optomate to your HICAPS terminal, backup all your data and replace the traditional server hardware taking up space in your practice.
This service has been developed in partnership with Monkey Software and comes after more than seven years providing practices with traditional Terminal Servers onsite.
Bluewave is based on Queensland's Gold Coast and is the hub of a team of computer network consultants experienced in optometry specific technologies who are able to remotely support your computer network and cloud-based V-Server.

Optometric Instrument linking - Bluewave's key industry partnerships and practical experience has ensured our solutions allow for the centralisation and integration of data from all aspects of a modern eyecare practice including clinical testing, consulting, dispensing and administrative functions. Once integrated, staff are able to efficiently access and update critical information when and where they need it including patient details, test results and images, stock and lens ordering systems, bookkeeping software and email communication.
Computer Hardware – Bluewave is able to supply customised computer hardware specifically suited to your practice. This includes PCs, printers, MS Office and AntiVirus software, thin clients (Mini-PCs) and more.
IT Services- Bluewave’s technical services department is able to provide remote support for all your IT service needs including troubleshooting networking issues, implementing new solutions and proactively managing and maintaining your network.
